China has started to build the first self-designed aircraft carrier. Which the construction work has been located in Changxing Island shipyard started. According to preliminary information, the size of China’s first aircraft carrier will be comparable to Varyag aircraft carrier.

Chinese media has reported that Chinese-made aircraft carrier construction work will be conducted in two phases: the first stage of the construction of four gas turbine equipped with the aircraft carrier, two of which manufacture is completed in the 2015-2016 years ago, displacement in the 5 -5.5 tons; in the second phase will start construction of a displacement of 65,000 tons of nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.
